Sneak Peek of the Olympics Tickets

Here's a picture of what some of the tickets are going to look like. I read that the color will correspond to the color scheme of the venue. I think they look really nice. The one on the right looks like it's for the opening ceremony, one event that we'd have to sell body parts in order to have enough money to pick up a ticket. The cheap seat for the opening ceremony is $327 per ticket and the most expensive is $3727 per ticket.

We should have our tickets in hand the first part of  July. I think the ticket in the middle is for field hockey, one of the events that we get to see. We still only have two tickets for a swimming event, it's a high demand event and I haven't been able to pick up any more. I think I'll have one more chance in June when they release any unsold tickets. If we don't get two more, I'm not sure what we'll do. The swimming event is one that I'd really like to see, especially in the Aquatics Centre.

If you find anything on the blog that doesn't seem to work right, please let me know. Jeff tried to post a comment but it wasn't working. I think I fixed that but there might be other things. I'd like to work out all those issues before we go.

  1. I have some friends who attended the Winter Olympics in Canada, and they were able to purchase some events tickets outside the venues shortly before an event started. I'll bet/hope you'll be able to do some of the same. They were surprised how many tickets were available.
